ABOUT US
notorious / now·taw·ree·uhs
(american english) - widely known, often for standing out, challenging norms, and going against the expected.
Founded in early 2021 on a small street in Pingkian—Orchids Street. Notorious was born from real experience. As skateboarders, we faced judgment and discrimination from society for simply doing what we love. What started as a label given to us became something we chose to own.
Today, we strive to turn that label into something greater. We’ve claimed the name, but we choose to redefine it. To society, we may be seen as troublemakers—loud, disruptive, and out of place. But to us, that perception is an opportunity.
An opportunity to create impact.
To shape a stronger, more inclusive community.
To prove that being “Notorious” isn’t about negativity—it’s about standing out, pushing boundaries, and building something meaningful.
No matter where you come from, your status in life, or what you’ve accomplished—we believe we’re all part of the same movement.
Notorious: Where Rebellion Meets Freedom
Notorious was never meant to be just a brand.
It represents a lifestyle—built on freedom, creativity, individuality, and community. It stands for those who move differently, think differently, and create their own path.
It’s for anyone passionate enough to be part of something real.
The skate scene in Pingkian, Fairview, and Sauyo started growing even before the pandemic. Back then, our crew was one of the few representing these areas. Over time, more people joined, and the community expanded—turning what was once overlooked into something alive and thriving.
Today, Notorious continues to represent that same energy:
a movement built from the streets, for the streets—where everyone has a place.
Went Quiet For A While, But We're Here
Notorious went quiet for a time.
Life happened. Growth happened. We stepped into a different stage and handled what needed to be handled off the radar. Some battles aren’t meant to be explained. So we paused.
But now we’re so back. Stronger. Sharper. More focused than ever.
WHAT’S NEXT
This year is a new chapter.
We’re bringing a different perspective-inspired by the streets, culture, and lifestyle of North America, and carrying that energy back to the Philippines.
New ideas.
New direction.
Same roots.
This isn’t a comeback.
This is an evolution.
Everything Started in Orchids Street, Now We're Here
I would like to announce that the place where everything started, finally it established it's home. For the community who comes together before, I am proud to announce that we now have a roof, a place where we can call it our home.
Everything started on Orchids Street—now, we’ve built something more.
What once was just a meeting place has become a foundation.
For the community that grew together, we’re proud to say we finally have a home—a space we can call our own.
A place for skateboarding.
A place for creativity.
A place for everyone who is part of this movement.
This is more than a shop. This is our home.

Why The Notorious Canteen?
The Notorious Canteen (Skate Supply) is rooted in both identity and history.
“Notorious” comes from a label shaped by our experience as skateboarders in the streets. “Canteen” comes from something more personal which is my mom’s business.
We grew up skating in the streets, where our skate spot eventually found a temporary roof which is my mom’s canteen. In the Philippines, this kind of place is known as a karinderya. A local space built on food service and connection. Long before we discovered skateboarding, her business had already been serving the community for nearly decades. Providing food, comfort, and a place where people could gather.
That same space is where the shop now stands, it was once my mom’s canteen for several years, with the earlier locations established right beside it.
Now I wanted to carry that legacy forward. Just like the canteen served people with consistency and care, The Notorious Canteen aims to do the same-by providing quality skate products and genuine service to the community.
The name represents a unique blend of two worlds: the raw energy of a skate crew and the warmth of a traditional canteen.
Most skate shops are straightforward. They tell you exactly what they are.
But this isn’t meant to be like the rest.
Because we were never built to fit in,
The Notorious Team
